The Assistant

It Can Do What the Buttons Do

Not a chat window beside the product. A pair of hands on it, briefed on your workspace, bound by your permissions, and reporting into the same log as everyone else.

Assistant Sees the whole workspace

Put Grace on the login card and remind me Thursday at 9

  1. Assigned card: Fix the login redirect, to Grace
  2. Created reminder: Thursday, 9:00 AM

Done. Grace is on Fix the login redirect, and you will hear on Thursday at 9:00.

Ask, or tell it what to do

Fri GH

Every tab with this board open saw Grace arrive on it, the moment it happened.

It Starts Every Turn Already Briefed

The workspace is in hand before you type: its columns, its tags, its people. “Put Grace on it” resolves to Grace without a search, and a card it made is named in the transcript.

Its Tools Mirror the Buttons, Check for Check

Create, move and assign a card. Rename, recolor and reorder a column. Set an alert, rename the workspace, search all four kinds at once. Every write runs as you, and what you cannot do by hand it refuses in words.

It Reads Your Outside Accounts and Writes to None of Them

Gmail and Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Notion, Linear, Jira, Apple’s calendar and reminders over CalDAV, and any MCP server at an address you type in. Each account is yours alone and follows you into every workspace.

A Watched Mailbox Becomes Proposals

It reads what arrived, asks the capture question of each message, and puts what it found on the overview. Accept makes it real. Nothing reaches a board on a model’s own authority.

Bring Your Own Key

Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek, xAI, Perplexity, OpenRouter, or anything that speaks OpenAI’s API. One connection per workspace, so every colleague’s assistant runs on the company’s key and not on theirs.

With No Key, Nothing Is Missing

The manual path is the product. The assistant refines what you already wrote, and an affordance that cannot work is hidden rather than shown failing.
